Gavsukt

'गावसूक्त' ही खरेतर गावाची आधुनिक ग्रामगीताच आहे. कवी किशोर कवठे यांनी हा आधुनिक गाव अत्यंत आत्मीयतेने आणि काळजाच्या देठापासून समजून घेतला आहे. कसा आहे हा गाव? हा गाव मनाचं वावर ओस झालेला आहे. दीनवाणा झालेल्या बळीराजाचा हा गाव आहे. देशाला चंदन लावणाऱ्या धूर्त राजकीय चेल्यांचा हा गाव आहे. कष्ट, मेहनत करूनही बेभाव खरीदला गेलेला हा गाव आहे. तुकडोजी, डेबूजी अभावी मद्यात वाहिलेला हा गाव आहे. असे विदीर्ण करून सोडणारे हे गावाचे वास्तव कवी किशोर कवठे यांनी आपल्या कवितेत साकार केलेले आहे. गावाला पारख्या झालेल्या प्रत्येकाला ही कविता आपली वाटेल असा विश्वास मला वाटतो.

'Gaavsukt' is actually a modern village song of the village. Poet Kishor Kawathe has understood this modern village with great intimacy and from the heart. How is this village? This village is devoid of the spirit of the mind. This is the village of Baliraja who has become poor. This is the village of cunning political disciples who are making the country a sandalwood tree. This is the village that has been bought without any value despite hard work and effort. This is the village that has been torn apart and consumed by alcohol due to lack of food. Poet Kishor Kawathe has depicted this reality of the village in his poetry. I believe that everyone who has come to know the village will feel like this poem is theirs.
