"Homo Videns" en el siglo XXI

Today more than ever, image has become the form of communication par excellence. In a symbiotic relationship, image and technology have managed to colonize everyday life, promoting the development of increasingly visual beings. This is the world that Giovanni Sartori had foreseen, for he declared twenty years ago that mastery of the image would impoverish the ability to understand man, thus foreshadowing the emergence of Homo videns: an intellectually clumsy being, numb by the exacerbated and everyday consumption of images.
