Pioneer Japanese photographer and printer Kazumasa Ogawa (1860-1929) established himself as the foremost photography publisher of the Meiji era and produced a range of illustrated books offering views of traditional Japan for the Western market. All thirty-eight plates of Ogawa's exquisite flower images from the original edition are reproduced here.
