The Little Buddhist Monk

A diminutive Korean monk is dreaming of the Western world. When he meets Napolean Chirac and Jacqueline Bloodymary, a French couple visiting his country for a working holiday, he offers to be their guide. But though our monk seems to be the very spirit of tourism, the sights he selects become stranger and stranger, and his guests become increasingly distraught. Nothing is natural in this tour de force of Aira's twisted imagination.
