Face of the Prairies, 2003

The essays presented in this book are based on papers delivered at a conference on life in the Canadian Prairies held in Regina, Saskatchewan, October 13-15, 1983. The book discusses changes that may transpire within the next two decades, what adjustments may have to be anticipated by the people living in the Canadian Prairies and what expectations and crises loom on the horizon. Future implications on natural, human, and historical resources, and settlement patterns are discussed.
