About This Book

This a personal account of Thomas Francis Galwey, a Union soldier involved in several battles in the Civil War, primarily in Virginia and Pennsylvania. His account of the Battle of Gettysburg is particularly interesting, where (if remember correctly) his unit was deployed as skirmishers near the base of Cemetery Ridge on the Third Day of the battle.
