The business of hunger

Examines a major cause of world hunger which is being created when small, native farmers are forced off the land and are replaced by multinational agribusinesses that produce food for export rather than local consumption. Shows scenes of recent food riots in Brazil and the Dominican Republic, starving women and children, and displaced farmers. Includes testimony by religious missionaries in third world countries and comments by representatives of human welfare organizations.
