What is the function of drawing? Peruvian artist Rafael Hastings has dedicated 30 years of his life and through his artistic practice, to answer that question. "The secret diaries" is a book that compiles the reflections written by the artist about the task of drawing, highlighting the creator and its essence, as well as the human nature of the artist who is behind the work. The book offers the reader a intimate look on almost 5 decades of the life of the artist while he lived in Europe, in the United States and in Peru, scenarios he inhabited and that powerfully enriched each of his creations.
