Archivo Conrado

The catalogue presents 23 of the 63 exhibited images from the photographic archive of Austrian born photographer Dr. Schnitzer "Conrado", who graphically documented Santo Domingo social life during his visit from 1938 to 1943. Conrado was an important figure in the rupture of the formal and pictorial local photography for a more documental and narrative style, with his photojournalist images that included a series of news photographs of President Trujillo and his family. Catalogue includes texts and names of the local and foreign photographers who worked in Dominican Republic during the 19th and 20th centuries.
