Research strategies in human communication disorders

This third edition of a book describing methods used in standard group research designs and other research designs includes updated examples, a new section on authentic assessment, revised material on structural equation modeling, and a new chapter on methods for evaluating the effects of treatments. Early chapters describe the group research methods most commonly used in research on human communication disorders, for readers with little previous experience in research methods. Later chapters describe other research methods, and discuss the role of researchers as strategists. Appendices give advice on evaluating and conducting research and writing research reports.
