The Design of Synthetic Inhibitors of Thrombin

Papers presented at a meeting held at the Thrombosis Research Institute in London, July 1991, to consider all aspects of the design of thrombin inhibitors. Among the topics: molecular basis for the inhibition of thrombin by hirudin; new peptide boronic acid inhibitors of thrombin; synthetic thrombin inhibitors as anticoagulants--pharmacological aspects; substrate-related phosphonopeptides as thrombin inhibitors; and the synthesis and anticoagulant activity of novel peptidylfluoroalkanes.
