International banking has been one of the major growth industries of the 1970s and 80s. New financial centres have sprung up during this period and any bank which has any pretentions or ambitions for growth can no longer afford to operate just within its home country. We, as a firm with many banking clients throughout the world, felt there was a need for an internal manual so as to keep ourselves up to date with accounting requirements for banks throughout the world.
