Four years, a chronicle of the war by months,

Adrian Van Sinderen was a successful banker, businessman and civic leader whose interests included raising horses, collecting books, traveling and music. He also authored more than 30 books, including 25 on Christmas themes. This volume, decidedly not a holiday tome, presents a running commentary of World War II, as it happened. The author has grouped his materials into 48 chapters, each corresponding to a single month, and covering the span from August 1939 to August 1943.
