Lancaster Sound

Proceedings of a workshop, the objective of which was to bring together a small group of recognized scientific and other experts with knowledge of the Sound so as to assess what is now known, and what needs to be known, in order to provide a scientific basis for policy and management decisions in Lancaster Sound. Identified areas of biological significance and critical wildlife areas, and made detailed recommendations about the respective responsibilities of government and industry for scientific research, data-gathering and monitoring.
