About This Book
CDMX naturalized presents a collage of ideas and buildings elaborated mainly from the second half of the 20th century, tending to increase the presence of nature in the city. Some propose recovering the Texcoco Lake, which is currently polluted and desiccated, as well as the rehabilitation of the old rivers of the city, as part of a strategy to reestablish its status as a lacustrine city. Others focus on their reforestation, including roads, the increase of parks and gardens, and the creation of garden roofs, vertical walls and urban gardens. They portray, as a whole, a shared ideal of a city, a reference that must be known and inform the present and future conformation of Mexico City, and perhaps inspire that of other cities.
