Salt of the Earth

Salt of the Earth is not a history or manual but a story told by people like you and me. It explains exactly what the Saint Vincent De Paul Society volunteers did in San Mateo County, California. This is a collection of interviews (oral history) with volunteers (called Vincentians) and gives a vivid impression of the kind of men and women who are willing to sacrifice their time in order to help their neighbors.
