Chess! I Love It I Love It I Love It!

"Chess! I love it I love it I love it!" The whole Sumac School Chess Club says this before every meeting. And Richard really means it. He has fun playing chess, even though he usually loses.

As always, Patrick the Pest is acting up and making Richard's life difficult. Patrick seems to see himself as a champion chess player. He's certainly an annoying one. When the chess club coach, Mr. E, says that both Richard and Patrick need to learn to concentrate and to plan ahead, Richard isn't happy. Sure, he wants to be better at chess, but he isn't like Patrick! No way!
