Contemporary religious thinkers from idealist metaphysicians to existential theologians

This volume contains readings in the religious thought of the present century, drawn from the works of about thirty philosophers and theologians. This book of readings may be used as a companion to my book, Twentieth-Century Religious Thought (New York: Harper & Row 1963), but it may also be used independently, for I have provided introductions to each of the three parts into which the readings have been divided, and also brief introductory notes to each individual selection.
