Two Rings

Sarah, a high school senior, receives an assignment to find a female ancestor whose life left a legacy for her. Sarah finds her Great-Grandmother Ruby's diary in which she writes about playing on a high school basktball championship team in 1925 and losing a treasured silver ring. Sarah's search uncovers a girls' sports history that spans across four generations of her family. This book is based on real-life stories collected from women who were high school athletes in the early 1900s and from women who were pioneers in the struggle to bring girls and women's sports back into the schools during the 1960s and 1970s.
