Pelléas + Mélisande + Chihuly

This book is not a document of the Seattle Opera's Pelleas and Melisande. Instead it illustrates Dale Chihuly's creative process in designing the sets. Along with the libretto of the opera, a selection of his drawings and glass models is presented. Some of them were chosen to be realized and some were not. Still others were inspired by Chihuly's continuing invention on the themes from the opera.
