Frida at My Table

Frida at My Table is a first-hand account of a woman recalling her childhood and her relationship to her body hair and processes of hair removal. Alternating carefully between colorful and detailed illustrations of herself and body combined with bold-faced text and narrations, the author tells a gendered story of hair, femininity, and family. The zine is small in size with a detailed illustration of a dress and cup of coffee with an ignited cigarette on the white cover.
