The study looks at ideas of space and constructions of voice in poetry through the inherently spatial processes of affective, vocalic, and critical identification and map-making we undergo in the acts of reading and voicing the poem. The study uses a multidisciplinary literary-critical methodology, combining broad attention to literary theory and poetics with the finer details of close reading individual poems.
