About This Book
Neville, Anderson & Dennis were charged with attempting to corrupt the morals of juniors, and, publishing an obscene magazine. Specifically "Oz" issue number 28, 1971. Although found not guilty on the first charge, they were convicted on the second count of publishing an obscene magazine and sentenced to 15 months, 12 months & 9 months goal terms respectively. Three (3) months after sentence was passed the Court of Appeal quashed the convictions ruling that the Judge had so seriously misdirected the jury about the meaning of 'obscenity' that their verdict was unsafe.
