About This Book
While in school, Debra interviewed her father, a former Colonel in the US Army, about his experiences in the Vietnam War for a Vietnamese Literature class project. In this zine, she has edited and recompiled pieces of that interview. Her father talks about his mixed sentiments about being involved in the war and how he remembers it. He contrasts the larger political view of the war with his personal lived experience. He discusses problems with the draft system and the psychological effects of being in a war, as well as the relationships he formed within his units. This zine is typed and contains color photos and maps for reference. Proceeds go to AnySoldier.com.
