A proposal on how to combat crime in the Russian Federation through preventive measures. Special attention is given to the legal foundation for coordinating crime prevention. The causes and circumstances of criminal behavior are hierarchized, and the elements of prevention are identified: general societal measures, special measures, and individual measures.
