Set the trumpet to thy mouth

This is an intense book, written by the man who wrote the book and inspired the movie "The Cross and the Switchblade," the late Pastor David Wilkerson, founder of Teen Challenge. Wilkerson's life and work have been an inspiration to millions and who knows how many teens have turned their lives around. Wilkerson did not consider himself to be a prophet, but a Watchman. Anyone at all familiar with Wilkerson will know without being told that Wilkerson wrote this book out of obedience to the Holy Spirit. The most shocking part of the book in my opinion is what is read in the very beginning: that the United States has turned its face away from God and that now God will turn His face away from the United States. He predicts that the U.S. will be utterly destroyed via nuclear attack and that no allies will come to her aid, fearing retribution. The book goes on to elucidate in exactly what ways the United States and her people have turned away from God. An intense yet edifying book.
