Bascom Lee Field, 1890-1918

Captain Bascom Lee Field (1890-1918), youngest son of Rev. Melville C. Field (1851-1919) and his wife Flora Ledbetter (1858-1922) of Randolph County, North Carolina, was killed on the battle fiend in France 29 Sept. 1918. This is a memorial volump published by this family after his death, detailing his short life, his accomplishments as a student at the University of North Carolina, and his wartime career.
