One for sorrow

6th century Byzantium. Justinian rules the land as a Christian Emperor, yet John, his Lord Chamberlain, holds fast the traditions of Mithra. Purchased as a slave to serve at the Great Palace in Constantinople, John has risen to become the Emperor's right-hand man. When one of his closest friends, Leukos, Keeper of the Plate, is murdered in a back alleyway, John embarks on the quest to discover his killer.
