This book is about the conflict in Northern Ireland and the understanding of different groups in society, confronted with the long way to peace. The author tries to explain different behavior with the systems theory (by Luhmann/Parson). In between Europe, Northern Ireland has been neglected by politicians for a very long time. And even if Northern Ireland is more peaceful nowadays, this peace seems to be very tense.
The book is divided into 3 main chapters:
1. The Troubles of Northern Ireland and its past
2. Northern Ireland in between Europe
3. The attempts of social organizations and the conflict from the view of the systems theory.
