Till the sun shines through

When Bridie McCarthy's siblings leave home she is forced to work hard on her family's farm which she loves. But a horrible act of violence forces her to run away. She goes to Birmingham where her sister has settled, where Bridie's life there couldn't be more different and she slowly begins to regain her confidence. World War II looms which threatens everything she has fought for.
