The Un/Making of Latina/o citizenship

Examining popular culture, literature, photography, television, and visual art, "The Un/Making of Latina/o Citizenship: Culture, Politics, and Aesthetics" sheds light on the misrepresentations of Latina/os in the mass media. Shaping a critical discussion of Latina/o culture that is hopeful, contributors to this collection map out the tenuous relationship between experiences of self-representation and actual liberation and explore Latina/os as represented in mass media versus their daily lives.
