Although the authors' original intent was to report on the collection in the Museo del Instituto de La Salle, they soon discovered that there were extensive collections available in other institutions and decided to bring all the material together to present a single, comprehensive report. Where available, United States National Museum catalog numbers have been provided for type species or regular collection specimens.
