From wheat fields to battlefields

The first half of the book is about the author growing up in a small Indiana town and experiencing living a life where the average person has no money and most business is done on the barter system.

The second half describes Bob's war experiences during the Battle of the Bulge and being honored with nine medals, the highest being the Silver Star from the U.S. Army and the Knight of the Legion of Honor by France, it's highest honor.
