After the massive and sudden exodus of robots until 2190, most of the interplanetary fast transport gates, which were built and operated by robots, were no longer available. Humanity had returned to a time before the gates, and the inhabitants of each world in the solar system suffered a kind of forced isolation on their respective planets. The government on Earth monopolized the use of solar energy extracted from the Fawz superstructure, which further escalated the isolation.

Of course, in the realm of using solar energy, Mars and the Eden project, previously established by robots, operated outside the control of the Earth government and under the jurisdiction of the Road Trade Alliance. These differences deepened over time, and as a result, fifty years later, space travel, thanks to ion drives, began to boom again. Humanity found itself in the midst of war once more, after two hundred years of peace, and the solar system was as cold as ever.
