About This Book
Jugger is a unique new sport, combining kind of martial arts experience (like in Kendo) with team-oriented playing (like in Rugby). It is based on a post-apocalyptic movie ("Blood of Heroes", released in 1989).
This is the first factbook on the sport. originally published at a German publisher (2006), it is now available in English as a free edition. It includes everything one needs for training and playing, doing tournaments and building an own team, as well as a guide how to make the so-called "Pompfen", the playing gear. Moreover, it includes a comprehensive history of the sport, which started to develop in the beginning of the 90th and currently starts spreading all over the world.
This edition will be updated at irregular intervals, featuring the different national Jugger rules. There are, for example, the Australian Jugger rules, Spanish, Irish and U.S. American (2 forms) included.
The author is an experienced Jugger player in the leading country of Jugger, Germany. He has published three factbooks on the subject, more to come; see [his website][1]. For the international Jugger scene, a look at [The International Jugger Blog][2] will be helpful.
The author offers free downloadable issues (PDF files) at [http://jugger.uhusnest.de/en_juggerbook.shtml][3]
