Information Management Systems/Virtual Storage

The purpose of this book is to provide, for EDP or MIS managers and other interested individuals, an exposure to what may be the most elaborate data base management system on the market, IMS/VS, a product of IBM. It is a Data Base Management System (DBMS) that requires the support of a medium or large scale computer. The assumption is made that the reader is familiar enough with electric data processing concepts so that for example, the difference between computer storage and DASD is understood.
