About This Book

This survey was conducted prior to the New Hampshire primary held on February 16, 1988. Respondents were asked if they were registered to vote, their party designation, if they intended to vote in the Democratic or Republican presidential primary, for whom they would vote if the primary were held that day, toward which candidate they were leaning, the strength of their support, and any candidates they definitely would not vote for. Additional questions sought the respondent's opinions on which party had a better chance of winning in November, the Reagan presidency, and the two most important issues in the presidential campaign. Background information on respondents includes education, age, religion, race, sex, income, voting history, and political orientation.
