In her hand- and typewritten travel diary about a trip to Rome with her parents, 17-year-old Erin writes about airports, the time difference between California and Italy, language barriers, hating the Pope and Catholicism, and her struggling relationship with her father. She includes pictures of women's liberation and political graffiti around the city. Toward the end, Erin writes about her depression and her frustration with misogyny.
