Oil paintings in public ownership in Amgueddfa Cymru - National Museum Wales

Amgueddfa Cymru - National Museum Wales has over 2,500 oil paintings in its art, learning and history departments, shown primarily at the National Museum in Cardiff, where the art galleries place the work of Welsh artists and the tastes of Welsh collectors in a British and European context. The collection ranges from sixteenth-century paintings to contemporary art, and is rich in Impressionist and Post-Impressionist works, notably by Monet and Cézanne.
