The collection of scientific articles and lectures of Ukrainian and foreign historians is devoted to elucidating the acutest and most controversial events of the World War II and memory about it. Special emphasis is laid on considering the didactic means concerning elucidation of World War II events in the history education system. The collection is intended for scholars, history teachers, university students. The collection of materials was developed in the framework of the project "Memory about war. War of memories" on the results of three Round tables of history teachers, Ukranian and foreigh scholars, which took place on: October 21-22, 2011, February 2, 2012 in Kyiv July 4-6, 2012 in Lviv. The collection also includes some lectures that were presented at the conference of Fullbright program in Ukraine entitled "Second World War and (re)creating historical memory in modern Ukraine", September 23-26, 2009, Kyiv.
