A scholarly defense of the necessity of introducing the appeal process to Russian juvenile criminal cases. The author examines the moral, psychological, tactical, and procedural aspects of the appeal process. In the year 2000, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that one in nine crimes were committed by juveniles; hence the urgency of this issue.
