Secundino Hernández

Secundino Hernández paints compositions in two-dimensional space that create an atmosphere where colours appear to float, as Fernando Francés, director at CAC Málaga, expresses it. His painting travels the circuit between figuration and abstraction in an endless game of lines and planes. Especially characterised by abstraction, his seemingly analytical works try to reduce the concept of painting to little more than an outline. This catalogue accompanies an exhibition of around 40 of Hernández's paintings and works on paper, including many large-format pieces, some of which were produced specifically for the exhibition.
