Language of Thieves

It is 1949 Appleby, Westmorland, where two cultures collide: that of a local squire Tobias Flint and Daisy Latimer resident traveler girl. Trouble arises when the handsome gypsy, Roulson Adams, after being rejected by the beautiful, unsophisticated Daisy, takes a terrible revenge. Then there is the psychotic behavior of Lydia Flint, Tobias's mother, who despises the gypsies gathering for the forthcoming fair. How justice is finally done and love overcomes all barriers makes an unusual and compelling story.
