La Conférence de Versailles

A work based on historical research by an American historian and published in France. This book corrrects the record of the 1919 Versailles Peace Conference by throwing light on the role both Clemenceau and Wilson played which is not the one popular opinion has assigned them. The author provides answers based on documentary evidence he has found to some of the on-going mysteries since 1919 such as why Clemenceau never revealed any details of his relationship with Wilson. Were there real "negociations" as the word is defined at Versailles and who were these experts appointed to "negotiate" the map of the world in 1919 among other important areas of "negotiations"? Who rejected Lenin's peace offer in exchange for 4/5ths of Russia? And why did numerous documents from the period disappear from the record?
