Interview with William Engels, interviewed by Andrea Lluch, Buenos Aires, Argentina

Mr. Engels began his career in corporate finance in the U.S., London, and Brazil before joining the Quilmes Group ("Quinsa") in Argentina. He discusses his experience at Quinsa and at Bunge Ltd. after he joined the Board of Directors in the early 1990s. Mr. Engels stresses the importance of technology, an educated workforce, and globalization for business success. He also details some of the factors that differentiate the Argentine market from others in Latin America and may have slowed its economic growth, especially in comparison to Brazil.
