A story of a social climber in the era of our forefathers, and mentions many. Her desire and desperation to become a member of the elite, and renown, leads her down a darkened path, but not much gets in her way. Great to read while reading about others of the same era, as she is mentioned one way or another in books (Burr, Jefferson and Dolly Madison).
