About This Book
This is the second book in a series of will book abstracts from Belmont County, Ohio. It is essentially an every-name index to those who were participating in any way in the final resolution of estates (testate or intestate).
The basic order of the documents was usually as follows: the issuance of letters---letters testamentary [L/T] for those who died leaving a will, in which case the will was recorded immediately after the issuance of the letters, or letters of administration [L/A]---followed usually at some distance by the appraisal, the sale, and the final settlement. Vol. F, however, dispenses with the appraisal and the sale. Hopefully, these two helpful collections of information have been preserved elsewhere in the county records.
