About This Book
A non-violent dragon who doesn't understand why he likes people finds out from a rabbit who knows the local wizard that he is really an enchanted prince. The wizard, Hiram McNab, explains that the wizard's mean great-aunt had cast the spell to spite her sister during a quarrel about a cockatoo and a ball of knitting yarn; and that the only way to break the spell is for the dragon to get a human being willingly and gladly to give him a flower. The dragon despairs, but a chance encounter with Sally, the blind goosegirl, results in the breaking of the spell. Sally recovers her sight and the couple have a great wedding with the whole village invited. The wizard comes, but has to take the second best seat as his great-aunt's cat, Crumdudgeon, takes the best seat.
