About This Book
The documents of this collection in the Nacionalna i univerzitetska biblioteka Bosne i Hercegovine were confiscated from Aleksandar Poljanić (1884-1948), the former director of the National Bank for Bosnia and Herzegovina. The collection comprises 293 documents written in bosančica (this western variant of Cyrillic) relating to the Poljica Republic (an autonomous community which existed in the late Middle Ages and the early modern period in central Dalmatia, near modern-day Omiš, Croatia), dating from 1507 to 1867.
