Lazarus is dead

With each miracle performed by Jesus, his childhood friend Lazarus' health deteriorates until after his death Jesus weeps and another miracle follows as Lazarus returns to life.

As children, Lazarus and Jesus were thick as thieves, but their friendship dwindled in early adulthood. One man struck out and became a flamboyant and successful businessman, the other stayed behind to learn a trade, and ultimately to find his calling in an unprecedented mix of spirituality and revolutionary zeal. Lazarus dies. Jesus weeps. Lazarus rises-- but he's about to discover that returning from the dead isn't easy at all.
